Armored Cable
The main difference between armored cables and regular cables is the addition of a metal sheath within the outer insulation, which enhances the mechanical strength of the cable and improves its resistance to corrosion. This allows armored cables to be used in more demanding environments.
Examples of application include:
Direct Burial: Underground cable installation, such as in railway systems.
Sewer: Cable trays and ducts.
Aerial: Protection against pests and rodents in overhead installations.
